Dr. Ibiyinka T. Ayorinde graduated from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State in 1995 with Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech. Hons) degree in Computer Science. She had her MSc. and Ph.D degrees in Computer Science from the University of Ibadan where she is currently a faculty member and the pioneer Head, Department of Software Engineering. Dr. Ayorinde joined the service of the University of Ibadan in 2010. Prior to this period, she had lectured at the Polytechnic Ibadan for almost a decade and had also worked in the industry during the early days of her career as both programmer and systems analyst. She has supervised over 80 BSc projects, about 40 Master’s dissertation and 2 PhD theses. She is currently supervising 5 PhD students and 4 MSc students. She has over 50 publications and her research interests include: Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, Formal Ontologies, Software Engineering, Machine Learning and ICT. Her current research is on Neuro-Symbolic Artificial Intelligence.
